Please join us for a casual and fun run in his behalf! Keep in mind, you can run a 5k anywhere. (Run with you Mother, run for your mother, upload to Facebook & tag ‘Flash Dash Series.’) Check out the following from Steve for details.
Sunday we are organizing a great Mothers Day 5k, titled, Mrs. M.Dash!! This is to honor all mothers for what they do for us, the inspiration was because I lost my mother recently.
My mother was diagnosed with Lung Cancer April 1. Since the cancer spread so fast to her brain and liver we lost her April 29 at age 59. This was caused by 46 year addiction to cigarette smoke, and also environmental lung issues. I miss my mother, and I plan to educate and help prevent this type of cancer.

The Utah Food Bank invited us to tour their facilities a few weeks ago and share their life long mission to “put an extinction to hunger.” I was amazed by the complexity and grand scale of their operations! From food rotation (top avoid spoilage), sorting, volunteer services, huge kitchen, cooking meals for hungry kids; the sheer amount of good they do is mind boggling! I walked away proud to be fundraising for such a wonderful organization, and happy in my heart that so many wonderful people exist to serve and give. (Utah is such a wonderful place!)
Keep reading to see our photos from the tour & familiarize yourselves with some amazing facts of all the good Utah Food Bank does year round.
